A Bit About A Book Blogger! (2)

A Bit About A Book Blogger is basically me giving some of my favorite book lovers and bloggers some well deserved spotlight! I think it’s important to make someone feel good and proud of their accomplishments every once in a while. I know many do Book Blogger Interviews and I always admired that. I though I might join in! I will try to have this as a regular feature on every Monday. If you’d like to be featured and interviewed You can contact me with your info! I want to know all of you!

Everyone say hello to Aimee/Christie! She is a young blogger from the Philippines and I fell in love with her AWESOME blog! It is SO SO pretty! You should all take a look!

Bio: Hi there! My name’s Aimee, but you people online know me as Christie. I’ve used Christie as a pen name for quite a while. I’m thirteen and I live in the Philippines. If I’m not reading, I’m probably online, eating or sleeping. I’m a bad student–I mean, I get good grades, but it’s hard to listen to a teacher’s lecture if you know that there’s a book sitting inside your bag, waiting for the bell to ring so that it can be read.

Twitter: N/A (I have a love/hate relationship with Twitter)

Blog: http://theshadowersshelf.wordpress.com

Goodreads: http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/5478965-christie-the-shadower-s-shelf

So tell me, how long have you been a book lover and what is it that made you decide to start blogging?

I used to hate reading. I only got into reading around 2011, when the Red Riding Hood movie came out and no one would watch with me, so I had to read the book instead. After that, I just bought book after book after book, and my book addiction began from there.

Aside from Goodreads, blogs are great places to look for more books to read. I love reading about other people’s opinions on things. I don’t have an extravagant story on how I began blogging, but I love to express my opinion, whether good or bad, and so I decided to start blogging. And I thought, Why not?

What kind of person are you outside of the Book Blogging world?

I get good grades and honors in school. I tend to get frustrated easily with other people (particularly my classmates), which is something I definitely hope to change about myself. I’m a really lazy person and I tend to procrastinate a lot.

I hear you have a multitude of names? Care to elaborate?

My real name’s Aimee, but I didn’t want to share personal information when I was starting out in places like Wattpad, FanFiction.net and Goodreads. My first pen name, I think, was Holly or something along those lines.  On Wattpad, I started using the name Christie Meyer and that kind of stuck with me, so that’s the name I use online.

What is a notable book you Just KNOW you will remember forever?

Although it’s not my favorite book, Catching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally is definitely a memorable book for me. I think it’s the book that kept me in my longest book hangover ever. I couldn’t read anything after reading it. I didn’t want to part with Jordan, Henry and all of the other characters. It was really an emotional book for me and I re-read it every now and then.

If you had to choose only one book character as a BFF who would it be?

I think I’d choose Percy Jackson from Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan. He’s definitely a funny and heroic character. I would trade just about anything (except maybe my soul) to spend a day with him!

Do you have any odd bookish habits?

I tend to read two or more books at a time. I usually have one physical book to read and one e-book on my phone. I read the physical book when I’m at home and the e-book when I’m in school or at the mall. If I do bring a physical book to the mall with me, I end up reading while walking and I have to hold on to someone so that I don’t bump into a wall. I also end up losing all of my bookmarks and use scraps of paper to mark my page instead.

Quickly!! You have to name 5 books off the top of your head right now! GO!

The Program by Suzanne Young, The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey, Impostor by Susanne Winnacker, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins andThe Iron King by Julie Kagawa! Lol, I haven’t even read the first three books in this list.

Cake or Pie?

Cake! Is it weird that I’ve never eaten pie yet?

Favorite color?

It depends on my mood. On a bad day, I’d say black, but on a good day, I’d say blue.

Name 3 non bookish things about yourself?

(1) I’m underweight and too short for my age, which is really depressing. (2) People say I’m moody. (3) I have a collection of teddy bears and fluffy pillows.

How did you chose your blog name?

I’m really into dark fantasies and definitely wanted the word shadow in it. I did a bit of research and found out that, in some online game or something, a shadower is what they call some sort of assassin. It sounded really cool, so I went with The Shadower’s Shelf.
